Show your work! (Austin Kleon)

Wait! If you aren't interested in books and stuff, I'll make it worth trying this one cuz that's about to change. Let's just say you don't have the slightest interest in being out there, do something creative, entrepreneurship, you must read this. This will pave pathway and possibilities you didn't know you needed or ever existed.

Show Your Work! 10 Ways to Share Your Creativity and Get Discovered" is a book written by Austin Kleon. He provided 10 tips for sharing your work with the world. The tips are simple and easy to understand, and the author uses real-life examples to make the concepts clear.

1. You don't have to be a genius

No one is genuis. Not a single person.
It's okay to be an amateur. Sometimes they teach us more than experts. They know that contributing something is better than nothing.

You can't find your voice if you don't use it. We are always being told to find your voice. But we have to use it, in order to find it.

2. Think process not product.

In order for the connection to happen, we have to allow ourselves to be really seen. Human beings are interested in other human beings and what they do.  People do really want to know how that art is made. Process is bit complicated and messy but it's worth it.

3. Share something small every day.

Overnight success is a myth. The form of what you share does not matter. Your daily dispatch can be anything you want. When you look back a year later, you will see how far you have come.

4. Open up your cabinet of curiosities.
Explore things you're curious about. Write about it.

5. Tell Good stories.
Can be anything. Even the slightest one would make a difference.

6. Teach what you know.

7. Don't turn into human spam.
Stop worrying about how many people follow you online and start worrying about the quality of people who follow you.

8. Learn to take a punch.
When you put yourself out there, you will face some criticism. Don't let haters stop you from sharing your work.

9. Sell out.

10. Stick around
Dont quit your show.

Show your work, and when the right people show up, pay close attention to them, because they will have a lot to show you too.

We got one life. Make sure you live up to it's mark. You yourself make a difference.

Harry Potter's anniversary?

Hey! It's me, Musa. Back again. This blog is about something else. A movie review. The title says it all. Just finished watching Harry Potter 20th anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. I guess everyone has watched the Harry Potter series or just a movie once in their lifetime. Our childhood is connected with it somehow. It brings me immense joy that I get to see the whole cast again. As a child, I never really understood the movies but still had the urge to watch them. I recently finished watching the whole series again up to “the deathly hallows” and trust me if I haven't had any tears in my eyes. It’s funny how small things bring back all the memories from childhood. Watching the anniversary made me realize how much time has passed. From childhood to being an adult, we all grew up. My favorite part of the anniversary was the ending where Harry, Ron and Hermione were so emotional that they almost cried and the Professor Snape's tribute. It’s just so heartbreaking that he's ...

Vlad, The Impaler Lord

Known as Vlad Tepes, Vlad Dracula, Vlad Dracul, Vlad III, or The Impaler Lord, The Voivode of Wallachia has ensured his place in The History of humankind and presumably in the famous stories starring Dracula, the Vampire of Transylvania. Born in 1431, in Romania, Vlad Dracula was bound to rule Wallachia one day. The word ‘Dracula’ is derived from ‘Dragon’. Vlad Dracula belonged to the Order of the Dragon of Wallachia.  Vlad Dracul was one of the 4 children of Vlad I of Wallachia. Vlad’s foes had given him the name Tepes, meaning the Impaler as Vlad was infamous for impaling thousands of men, women, and children who went against his word or supported his enemies. One of many, but gruesome enough was the Easter Massacre which took place in Wallachia, under Vlad’s rule. Vlad Tepes hosted the Easter feast for the Boyers who were the elites in Wallachia after the Order of the Dragon.  Adamant on settling his political matters into place, Vlad Tepes rose his glass in hon...
